AFA 2021



Established in 2007, the AFA Foundation is a core pillar in the AFA’s member commitment to support the wider community and the greater good of society. Through the financial contributions and hard work of the AFA family and the AFA Foundation committee, we have raised over $2m for charity partners across Australia.

The current COVID impacted environment has placed pressure on employment and incomes as well as holding face to face events, impacting our fundraising efforts by hundreds of thousands of dollars. At the same time, demand for support and services from charity partners has never been higher.

Our charity partners need our help to support those in need in our community. Some of those in need are members of the AFA.

The trustee for The Association of Financial Advisers (ABN 90 553 387 628) is endorsed as a Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) from 14 Oct 2008. It is a public ancillary fund covered by Item 2 of the table in section 30-15 of the Income Tax Assessment Act 1997. The AFA Foundation is a registered charity with the Australian Charities and Not for Profit Commission. The AFA Foundation is the operating name of The Trustee For The Association of Financial Advisers [ACN 905533876]. AFA Acting CEO, Phil Anderson, is the Secretary.
